This photo was taken in the Yawakashahu village of the Yawanawá people, in Acre.
I was there in early 2025 with a dual mission: to give a photography and video workshop to the young people of the village and also to make a video for them. Between interviews and workshops, I would bathe in the Igarapé (small stream) and walk through the forest, and it was during one of these walks that I took this photo.
20% of the net value of the photo goes to that village.
Eco-solvent printing uses solvent-based inks that are less aggressive, with low emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) on synthetic paper.
